[In which both members of this story have been abducted by aliens. Yeah, some little green men. Or maybe they're grey? It's a little hard to tell because the lighting is more than a little strange. But the point is, it's dark, there's weird colored lights, and there's strange guys who may or may not have been probing people. There's also a general sense of confusion, at least for the older teen here. Who has found himself in...

Something which resembles a cross between a simple bedroom/living room combo and a zoo, given there's a big mirror on the far wall he suspects might be a secret window. His heat hurts too, and so does his arms. Either way, he's sprawled on a futon not alone in the room but taking in his surroundings]

[Slowly Seras comes to consciousness. Her eyes half lidded as she tries to wake. A hand lifts to hold her head.]

What the- Where am I?

[...Oh it's a woman. He looks at the ceiling, not quite sure what he should say. Or. Well]

We were coming back from a meeting from the Queen, and... [There was a bright light. Where is she? Where are her masters?]

And some sort of bright flash of light, right? [That's what he remembers too. And he has immediately thought "aliens!" or maybe "ghosts!" but either one just seems weird and farfetched now, given the state of this room. What's up with it, gosh]

I suppose. You don't think it could have been the Nazi's, do you?

[One of the last thing she remembers is a Nazi catboy being shot in the head, so it's completely plausible. That be a terrible thing, though. To be caught by the enemy. Her Master and Sir Integra would be so put out.]

...Nazis? Did you seriously just say Nazis? [And derailed him from his looking around the room, thinking, exploring, or theorizing. Because that is not a suggestion he expected]

[Naoki hated forests. After spending an eternity in a destroyed city, he didn't want to go anything resembling such a sight filled with lifelessness. Sadly, the forest was just that, made worse by the beautiful moon above. At times, he might have thought it to be different. Tonight? Well, when you are hunting a demon, out of healing items, and lost, opinions can change.

He sighed, leaning against the tree. Might as well take a break. He looked over to Seras.]

You're positive we don't have a map or anything?

[And these trees prevented getting a signal on a phone. Then again, that demon stole his too.]

[Seras smile nervously at Naoki, forgetting such an action will be bearing her fangs to him.]

No, not at all! But we should be fine anyway, right?
[Surely Sir Integra wouldn't send her on a mission she couldn't handle, right? Right? Seras tries a strained laugh to ease some of the tension here. The vampire fidgets, and shoulders her massive gun. No map, but what are their other options?]

[He facepalms, clearly frustrated. Great, a demon managed to get away from both of them, Naoki unable to summon his demons, and they had nothing to even make sure they were going the right way....Naoki swore he was going to.pound that demon into jelly when they finally meet again.]

Just...ugh. Well, at least it can't get any worse.

Oh, I know! [Seras perks up as soon as she remember she has vampire powers.] I could use my heightened senses to maybe sniff it out?

[Which could be slightly plausible if, you know, Naoki didn't jinx them. It gets worse, and small drips of rain and warn them. Far away a roll of thunder rumbles in the sky. Uh-oh.]

[Naoki perked up at that news. How could he forget?]

[And just as he spoke, the rain had began to come down. Of course this would happen. He growled as the rain came down.]

[Seras whines as the rain starts to fall at a more steady pace. This would not be good for her gun at all.]

We should probably find shelter.

[Naoki moves to grab her hand and walk off. With him and his glowing tattoos, he was one of the best sources of light, and the last thing they needed was to be separated.]

There should be something nearby, like maybe a cave or something. Keep your eyes peeled.

[Seras is quite surprised by the sudden taking of her hand, but she'll follow along. The "draculina" doesn't need much light to see for long distances. The more she focuses (which at times is a little difficult since he has her hand) the farther she's able to see. Eventually she spots a shallow cave which should protect them from the rain (despite them being already soaked).]

Over there! [With her free hand she points to the cave.]

[With her job and all, Samus was sure to experience stress from time to time. No longer an assassin and unable to tackle the creatures she fought, the least he could do was make sure to keep Samus' belongings clean and ready for.use, create an atmosphere that would welcome her when he wasn't doing his own thing in the city.

When Samus would enter the house, she might be able to smell a variety of good food, and find them all neatly laid out on the table. Hei in the meantime was just now pouring a drink for himself after finishing up.]

[Samus still finds it strange to have a meal ready when she returns from a mission. The smell of freshly cooked food was something she never had before her run in with Hei. Usually her meals would consist of something she ordered at a galaxy bar where she was gathering information on a bounty, or processed machine food. In all honesty she's not sure if she likes the change. Her method before was efficient, and kept her thinking about her next job. This? This gave her a sense of home and belonging that she's not sure she's comfortable with. However Samus isn't one to get rid of good food just on the basis of her having her own issues.

The first thing the woman does when she enters the house that she dares not call a home is change into civilian clothes. Next? She begins to check out the food. Trying to be sneaky, she plucks something off of a plate that's not quite done yet.]

[Hearing her come in, Hei stepped into the room, putting down a glass. Right on time, though maybe a bit too soon, since the food had not finished cooling off; he should know, considering her nearly burnt his tongue once before. Heat was a good repellent for a glutton like him.]

Welcome back, though I would be careful on what you touch. Some of the food is still quite hot.

[Hei catches her just as she has it held up to her mouth with it slightly open to eat the food. After a moment of frozen silence, because she does feel a little guilty over it, she sighs and looks over to him. At first it looks like she might put it back, but instead she pops the food in her mouth (acting almost a little rebellious in doing so). She has Chozo blood. What's a little warm food going to do?

Ah, bad idea. A small wince and a little frown play on her face. Not a big reaction, but one nonetheless. She didn't expect it to be quite that hot.]

[He chuckled. She wouldn't have been the first to do such a thing. Good as his food was, burns were a risk if they didn't have patience, himself includes with the list of people. Least she learned now, hopefully.

I warned you. [He sets his drink down, and turned around back to the kitchen.] Would you like a drink this evening too? I just managed to restock today too.

[Samus moves away from the food, and looks at the cabinet. Should she set the table? Even if she should, she won't. The warrior refuses to accept this sense of home. She feels it distracts from her work, her destiny. Instead the blonde takes a seat at the table, and pulls out her mission log.]

[At the very least, Hei does that much, setting up some plates after he brings her a drink. With everything set, he takes a seat across from her, eyeing what she was doing. While he seemed to adjust, it seemed she was unable to. He couldn't blame her. After all, he wasn't fully used to this either, but could hide behind his smiles.]

Busy day I take it?

[Samus didn't have the time, energy, or desire to hide behind smiles. Instead she dealt with it by not putting effort into feeling one way or the other. When the woman responds she doesn't look up from her log book.]

There was some competition today. The federation can't seem to make up its mind whether they want to continue to hire me or some other hunters for their jobs.
[Hah. It's funny how frustrated they are with her, or at least that corrupted division of it. They don't trust her near their top secret areas anymore, yet they know there is no one more qualified than her to be there.]
